We provide intelligent solutions to energy and environmental challenges that include clean technologies acceleration, energy assessments, material characterization, educational workshops and training, consulting and technology demonstration and validation

The PREC provides research and development in energy applications, storage, modeling, and management practices. We also help new ventures to succeed in their transition into the market, plan strategy developments with the according local legislation, and provide continuing education.

FACILITIES

MAIN FACILITIES:

Our facilities are located in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, at the main campus of UAGM Recinto de Gurabo (formerly Universidad del Turabo), adjacent to the School of Engineering. The main building is surrounded by several demonstrative installations, including a 60 Kw photovoltaic array. Five laboratories are located in the building and are complemented by other research facilities located across campus and at other partner universities.

PREC EDif THE PUERTO RICO ENERGY CENTER (PREC) IS DEDICATED TO ADVANCING PUERTO RICO’S ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND CLEAN ENERGY USE THROUGH RESEARCH, TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER, EDUCATION AND DEMONSTRATION.
